To transfer a domain from Hostinger, open Domains > Manage > Domain Overview, switch Transfer lock off, disable Privacy Protection and click Get code. Paste the code into TransferOffshore. Answer the confirmation email
Hostinger or the registry may email you about the transfer. Confirm it without delay.
Why does my Hostinger domain lock itself again?
Most likely the 60-day restriction is still running. Hostinger's article says a domain that re-locks itself may be within 60 days of its registration or its last transfer. Wait until that window ends.
Also check the status. Hostinger cannot release a domain that is suspended, expired or in redemption. Renew or restore it first, then request the code.
Which extensions need extra steps at Hostinger?
Three of them: .ru, .uk and .es. A .ru code is not visible in hPanel, so you contact Hostinger support. A .uk name changes registrar through an IPS tag, not a code.
For .es, the contact details must match exactly, and the registry email must be confirmed within 10 days. TransferOffshore does not sell .ru or .es; the transfer rules table lists what each extension needs.
What do you do on TransferOffshore with the code?
Paste the name and its code in the transfer form: one row per domain, up to 20 rows per request. Your current nameservers are kept by default. A .com transfer costs $12.49 and adds one year (all prices). You pay from a crypto balance, with no ID. By ICANN rules, a registrar must hand over the code within 5 calendar days. It cannot hold the code back over a payment dispute (auth code guide).
Hostinger transfer questions
Does Hostinger still accept crypto?
On some regional storefronts. Hostinger has taken crypto through CoinGate since 2021, and its payment-methods help page, seen in a search snippet on 8 October 2026, shows methods that vary with the regional storefront. TransferOffshore takes BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC on every order, from a prepaid balance with a $25 minimum.
What happens to Hostinger hosting when the domain leaves?
Hostinger's transfer-out article does not say. A registrar change does not move the hosting itself, but DNS served by Hostinger may be affected. Copy your DNS records first and keep nameservers that will still answer. TransferOffshore keeps the current nameservers by default.
Must I wait 12 hours after unlocking at Hostinger?
No, you can request the code right away. The 12-hour rule concerns switching the lock back on: Hostinger asks you to wait 12 hours before changing the toggle again. So do not relock in a hurry if a first transfer attempt fails.
