Quick answer
Can I transfer a domain without KYC?
Yes. As of October 2026, TransferOffshore lets you transfer a domain without KYC: no ID document, no selfie, no ID number and no phone number. Each domain needs one email that you verify within 15 days, as ICANN requires: it is the only contact detail we collect, and it is never published. You pay in crypto, and a .com transfer costs $12.49.
What a no-KYC transfer involves
| ID document, selfie, ID number | Not asked |
|---|---|
| Name, phone number, postal address | Not asked |
| One per domain, required and verified within 15 days (ICANN rule), kept private: the only contact detail collected | |
| Registrant of record | You, for a domain in your name |
| Payment | Crypto only: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC |
| Public WHOIS / RDAP | Privacy included free where the registry allows it; what stays public depends on each registry |
| Domain protection | +$29/year per domain: the registry holds the details of DomaineGoat LLC, not yours |
| Your data goes out | Only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case |
| Not sold here | .us, .eu and other extensions that require proof of eligibility |
What exactly does TransferOffshore ask for?
We ask for the minimum needed to move a domain and keep it reachable:
- the domain name and its auth code, from your current registrar;
- one email address per domain, which you confirm through a link;
- a crypto payment to your account balance.
Your account is identified by an account number. You can use the same email for every domain, or a different one for each.
The email is not a formality, and it is the only contact detail we collect. ICANN's 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement requires registrars to verify the registrant's email. If the address is not confirmed within 15 days, the domain is suspended until it is. Use an address you will still read in a year.
What does TransferOffshore not ask for?
No identity check of any kind. Concretely, TransferOffshore does not ask for:
- an ID card, passport or driving licence;
- a selfie or a video call;
- a national ID number or tax number;
- your name;
- a phone number;
- a postal address;
- a bank card or bank account.
The short form is: No ID, no KYC — one verified email, kept private. The email does not appear in the public WHOIS or RDAP record. It is used to verify the domain, to send renewal reminders and to deliver transfer codes.
What does the registry still receive?
It depends on the registry, and that part does not depend on us. The .com and .net registries, run by Verisign, are thin: they receive no contact data about the registrant, only the registrar, the nameservers and the dates. Registries such as PIR (.org) or Identity Digital (.io) keep the registrant record under their own law.
For a domain in your name, you are the registrant of record, and the record is built from the one detail we collect: your verified email. No name, address or phone number exists to pass on. WHOIS and RDAP privacy hides the record from the public where the registry allows it, at no cost.
With Domain protection, the domain is registered in the name of DomaineGoat LLC. The registry and WHOIS show the company, never you, so the registry holds no data about you. The option costs +$29/year per domain on top of the extension price. You stay the beneficial owner and can take the domain back in your name, for free.
Domains are registered through our ICANN-accredited registrar partner, shown in the RDAP record.
What about .us, .eu and similar extensions?
TransferOffshore does not sell them, so you cannot transfer them here. Some registries require more than an email.
- .us requires a United States connection (the nexus rule), and its registry does not allow privacy or proxy services.
- .eu requires residence or citizenship in the EU or EEA.
- .fr, .it and .ca have similar residence or presence rules.
For those, the registrant must prove eligibility. DomaineGoat LLC, a company in Panama, is not eligible to hold them for you, and we do not collect the proof. Keep them at a registrar that handles eligibility.
Other country extensions, such as .de, .uk, .nl, .ch, .cc and .to, need a name and an address. We sell them only with Domain protection, so the registry receives the company's details. See the extension list.
What are the honest limits of a no-KYC transfer?
A no-KYC transfer reduces what we hold about you. It does not erase the past, and it does not place a domain above the rules.
- Your old registrar keeps its records. Moving the domain does not delete the data you gave it, nor old WHOIS copies kept by third parties.
- Blockchains are public. A crypto payment can be traced on-chain, even if we never ask who you are.
- The email matters. Lose access to it and you can lose access to codes and verification links.
- Due process still applies. We release the data we hold only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case. See the disclosure policy.
- Some abuse leads to suspension. Phishing, malware, botnets and fraud that takes money from victims are acted on within 24 hours of a documented report; child sexual abuse material at once. See the abuse policy.
- Trademark disputes go to UDRP, and the panel decision is applied.

No-KYC domain transfer: FAQ
Do ICANN rules require an ID check for a transfer?
No. ICANN rules do not require an identity document for a gTLD transfer. They do require the registrar to verify the registrant email within 15 days, and that is the one check TransferOffshore makes. Country registries can add their own rules. Where a registry asks for proof of eligibility, as for .us or .eu, we do not sell the extension. This is not legal advice.
Why do you need an email at all?
Because ICANN requires it. Under the 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement, a registrar must verify the registrant's email, and a domain whose email is not confirmed within 15 days is suspended. The email also receives renewal reminders and transfer codes. It is never published in WHOIS or RDAP.
Can I use a private or throwaway email?
You can use any address you control, including one at a privacy-first email provider. Avoid a throwaway inbox. You need the address to confirm the domain within 15 days, to receive renewal reminders and to get the code if you transfer out later. Losing it can mean losing control of the domain.
Does the registry see my email or name?
We never ask for your name, so no registry receives it. For a domain in your name, the registrant record is built from your verified email: the thin .com and .net registries receive no contact data at all, and others, such as .org, keep that record, hidden from public WHOIS where the registry allows. With Domain protection, the registry receives only the details of DomaineGoat LLC.
Do you check who I am when I pay in crypto?
No. You top up your balance with BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC and pay transfers from it. There is no card, no bank account and no identity check. The payment is matched by its exact amount. See pay with crypto.
