Paste a list of names and auth codes, keep the nameservers you use today, and follow every domain on its own line in My domains. This guide covers the format, the errors you can meet and how to split a large list.

**Quick answer — How do I do a bulk domain transfer?**

As of October 2026, **TransferOffshore** accepts a bulk domain transfer of up to **20 domains per request**. Paste one `domain code` pair per line, keep your current nameservers, and pay the whole list in crypto from one balance. A .com row costs $12.49 and adds one year. Each old registrar then has up to 5 days to release its domains.

## Bulk transfers at a glance

| Attribute | Value |
| --- | --- |
| Domains per request | Up to 20; a longer list goes in several requests |
| How to enter them | Row by row, or "Paste a list" with one `domain code` pair per line |
| Auth codes | One per domain, 1 to 128 printable characters, no spaces |
| Nameservers | Kept by default: "Keep current nameservers" is ticked when the cart holds only transfers |
| Price per row | The transfer price of the extension; .com $12.49, one year added on gTLDs |
| Country extensions | The registry decides whether time is added; .uk and .ch keep the expiry date |
| Time per domain | Up to 5 days for the old registrar to answer |
| Payment | BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, from a prepaid balance (minimum top-up $25) |
| Follow-up | One status per domain in My domains, with the reason if a row fails |

## How many domains can I transfer in one request?

You can send up to **20 domains in one transfer request**. Each row is checked and handled on its own, so one bad code does not hold back the other rows.

For a longer list, send several requests. A list of 65 domains, for example, becomes four requests: three of 20 and one of 5. Each request is paid from the same balance.

The cart can also be mixed. Transfers, new registrations and renewals can sit in the same order, but a name can appear only once. For lists of 50 domains or more, read the [portfolio plan](https://transferoffshore.com/domain-portfolio-transfer/), which covers inventory and timing.

## What does the "Paste a list" format look like?

Write one domain per line, then one space, then its auth code. The form at [/app/domains/transfer](https://transferoffshore.com/app/domains/transfer?lang=en) reads each line as one row. You can still add or fix rows by hand after pasting.

The example below uses fake names and fake codes. Never post your real codes anywhere, and never send them by email: the code is the key to the domain.

*Example list (fake domains and codes)*

```text
example.com Xk7#pQ2vLm9!
example.net 4tR!bW8zQe1@
example.org Hs3$Kd9pYv2#
example.io Vn6^Lq8mTz4&
example.co Pw2*Rj5nGc7%
```

## Why does each domain need its own auth code?

Because the auth code (EPP code) belongs to one domain at the registry, not to your account. A code for example.com cannot move example.net, even when both sit at the same registrar.

Most registrars let you copy each code from the domain page. Some send it by email, and a few offer a bulk export. If your registrar has no self-service, the ICANN Transfer Policy gives it **5 calendar days** to hand over the code. See [where to find an auth code](https://transferoffshore.com/auth-code/).

Codes do not last forever. They are often valid for **5 to 14 days**, depending on the registry and the registrar. So collect the codes for one request and send that request the same day.

## Will my nameservers change in a bulk transfer?

No. When the cart holds only transfers, the option **"Keep current nameservers"** is ticked by default, so every domain keeps the DNS it uses today. In a mixed cart, that option applies only to the transfer rows.

You can also pick our nameservers, Cloudflare, or your own custom nameservers for the whole order. You can change this later, domain by domain, in My domains.

One case needs care. If your old registrar hosts the DNS records, they can stop when the domain leaves. Copy the zone first, and check DNSSEC before you start. The steps are in [transfer without DNS downtime](https://transferoffshore.com/transfer-without-dns-downtime/).

## Which rows can fail, and what do you do?

The form checks each row before payment. The old registrar and the registry check it again after the request. Each problem stays on its own row.

| Message | When you see it | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| "Transfers of .xx aren't available" | In the form, before payment | The extension is not sold here. See the [list of extensions](https://transferoffshore.com/transfer/). |
| "Enter the code exactly as your current registrar gave it" | In the form, before payment | The code is empty, too long or has a space. Copy it again. |
| "This domain isn't registered yet" | In the form, before payment | Nobody holds the name. Use "Register it instead". |
| Wrong transfer code | In My domains, after the request | Get a new code and use "Update the transfer code". |
| Domain locked | In My domains, after the request | Remove the [transfer lock](https://transferoffshore.com/transfer-lock/) at the old registrar, then update the code. |
| Less than 60 days since registration | In My domains, after the request | Wait until 60 days have passed since registration or the last transfer. |

## How should I split a large list by expiry date?

Sort the list by expiry date and send the domains that expire soonest first. Each request of 20 rows is then one batch, and the most urgent names arrive first.

Three groups should wait or move on their own:

- **Domains registered or transferred less than 60 days ago.** Many registrars refuse them. Put them in a later batch.
- **Domains that expire in the next few days.** A transfer can take 5 days, and a wrong code costs more time. Renew them at the old registrar first, or start early.
- **Expired domains.** A domain in its redemption period cannot be transferred. Read [expired domain transfers](https://transferoffshore.com/expired-domain-transfer/) first.

One more point concerns renewals. If the old registrar has just renewed a domain, a transfer within the 45-day auto-renew grace period cancels that renewal year at the registry. Whether you get your money back is up to the old registrar.

## What does a bulk domain transfer cost?

A bulk transfer costs the sum of its rows. Each row is billed once, at the transfer price of its extension, the same as its renewal price; a .ai row is billed 2 years (transfer + one renewal). A .com row is $12.49, a .net row $12.99 and an .io row $53.49.

On gTLDs such as .com, .net and .org, the transfer adds one year to the current expiry date, up to the 10-year maximum. For country extensions, the registry decides, and some, such as .uk and .ch, add no time. Some, such as .de, .uk, .nl and .ch, are sold only with [Domain protection](https://transferoffshore.com/domain-protection/), and their shown price already includes it.

There is no fee per request and no bulk surcharge. You top up once and the total is taken from your balance. Every price is on the [price list](https://transferoffshore.com/pricing/).

## Where do I follow each transfer?

In **My domains**, each transferred domain gets its own line with the badge "Transfer in progress". The filter "In progress" shows them all at once.

Open a domain to see its timeline: **Requested**, then **Waiting for the current registrar** (up to 5 days), then **Completed** or **Failed**. A failed row shows its reason, such as a wrong code or a lock, and a form to update the code. The other rows of the same request carry on.

Auto-renew is on by default for transferred domains. It renews them from your balance, so check the balance before the next expiry dates.

## Bulk domain transfer in six steps

1. **List your domains** — Export names and expiry dates from the old registrar. Sort them by expiry date.
2. **Unlock them** — Turn off the transfer lock on each domain of the first batch.
3. **Collect the codes** — Copy one auth code per domain. Send the batch the same day, while the codes are valid.
4. **Paste the list** — Use "Paste a list" with one domain code pair per line, up to 20 lines.
5. **Pay in crypto** — Keep "Keep current nameservers" ticked, review the total and pay it from your balance.
6. **Follow each row** — Watch the statuses in My domains and fix any failed row with a new code.

## Bulk domain transfer: FAQ

### Can I transfer more than 20 domains at once?

Not in one request: the limit is 20 domains per request. Send several requests instead, all paid from the same balance. Splitting by expiry date also helps, because the most urgent domains go first and a problem in one batch does not touch the others.

### Do all my domains need to come from the same registrar?

No. Each row is a separate transfer, so one request can mix domains from different registrars. Each old registrar answers for its own domains, within the same 5-day window. Our [registrar guides](https://transferoffshore.com/transfer-from/) show where each one keeps the code and the lock.

### What happens if one code in my list is wrong?

Only that row fails. The domain shows "Failed" in My domains with the reason "Wrong transfer code", and a form lets you enter a new code. The other rows of the request carry on as normal. Ask the old registrar for a fresh code if the first one has expired.

### Will my websites and email keep working during a bulk transfer?

Yes, in most cases. Your current nameservers are kept by default, so the DNS does not change. The exception is DNS hosted by the old registrar, which can stop when the domain leaves. Copy those records to another DNS host before you send the request.

### Can I add new domains to the same order?

Yes. The cart accepts transfers, new registrations and renewals together. A name can appear only once. If a row turns out to be free, the form offers "Register it instead". The option to keep current nameservers then applies only to the transfer rows.

### Do I need an ID to transfer many domains?

No. TransferOffshore asks for no ID document, no selfie and no phone number, whatever the size of the list. Each domain needs one email that you verify, as ICANN requires; it is the only contact detail we collect. Payment is in crypto.
